A year has passed since PlasticSole and Broken Wolf first joined forces at Robannas Studios in Birmingham. On Sunday, 20th October 2024, the two bands returned to the legendary studio to record not one, but two iconic tracks.
This time, they tackled Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back in Town" and Black Sabbath's "Paranoid". The choice of songs pays homage to the rich musical heritage of Birmingham, the birthplace of heavy metal.
The recording session was intense and exhilarating. Both bands brought their A-game, and we are proud of the results.
Thank you for your continued support. We can't wait to share more with you soon!
Recorded at the gone, but not forgotten, Bar Central in Milton Keynes, at the end of the 90s, we've gone deep in to the archives to find the highlights of our one and only acoustic show (so far). This was a special gig, with a couple of violinists joining us on stage for a few numbers, a track never played before (or since) called Follow Me Down, and reworkings of a few of our set list staples.
We hope this will transport you back to when we were young and bring a flood of happy memories.
It was an electrifying night of indie rock pop vibes!
Thank you to all of our friends, old and new, who came and rocked out with us, we had an absolute blast!
After our last successful visit in September last year, we were so happy to rock out with you again.
Many thanks to Box Monster Promotions for putting on such a great show, as always!
"Eat Less / Move More," our new single, launched on **September 1st, 2024**. 🎉 It's more than just a track; it's a lifestyle anthem designed to get you grooving and thinking about health in a whole new way.
The first verse and chorus of the song sprang to life in the mind’s ear of guitarist, Simon Brindle, one morning when he was contemplating the fact he was nearing 50. The song grew when the rest of PlasticSole got in the rehearsal studio and thrashed it out. It truly came to life, though, on the stage, when PlasticSole encouraged chanting fans to "Eat Less / Move More."
This version is unfortunately not available in America, Canada, Mexico, India, or Pakistan*.

"The Fathers of Geography" is a heartfelt project that has spanned years, evolving from a concept conceived by our drummer during a ferry ride in June 2014, returning from gigs in The Netherlands. This album is a testament to perseverance and passion.
We started recording in September 2014. Unbeknownst to us, it would take almost a decade to complete this project. Many significant life events, and a global pandemic, all meant that we took our time carefully crafting these tracks. Our aim was to present PlasticSole at our very best, and we believe this album is a true reflection of our dedication and growth.

The Ballad of Carla and Samuel emerged through a fascinating creative journey, akin to the collaborative methods employed in the recent Beatles singles. The song began as an intimate acoustic demo in a cozy living room. Each band member then added their touch to transform the demo into the full song you can hear today. The track is number 12 in our 12 songs in 12 months challenge.
"She's On My Mind" is a track that channels Prince's approach to "1999". The song features a rolling bassline and infectious synth stabs, and each vocal line showcases different a band member singing a line in each verse, creating a similar tapestry of voices that the Minnesota legend achieved with the Revolution in 1982.
