Live at The Craufurd Arms (Deluxe)

International music licensing is a fascinating subject. Long story short we can't release covers in some countries without paying fees. As a result we had to wait a while before we could release the full Live at The Craufurd Arms (Live Music Venue) experience featuring some of the cover songs we performed that night.

Thanks again to:
Jason Hall for putting on the show and pressing record
Rise Bailey Rise for supporting us and joining us on stage
Everyone who listens to and buys our music and comes to support us.

Spotify Radio

So here's a thing. Spotify has created a PlasticSole radio station, which we assume means it plays music of a similar vein to ours, which is pretty cool. We would love to know if people agree with the selections the Spotify algorithm has chosen

Return To Astro Wars KT

Making plans during COVD required enormous leaps of faith.

Planning a gig during COVID, with international band members, required one giant leap of faith. How can you get your main singer to the gig, let alone rehearsals, when they can't leave their country?

Step up Katie Blackman, who learned our songs, attended rehearsals, and blew us all away with her dedication, application and raw talent.

This EP is our thank you to Katie! With this release, you will be able to state you are a professional singer, and point to these songs as evidence!

Finally, the amazing artwork that accompanies this EP is also created by Katie, and we couldn't be prouder that she allowed us to use it.

Thank you Katie!

SJ, Dann, Simon, Steve and Dad!

This is the second of a few things we have planned as a result of our gig at The Craufurd Arms (Live Music Venue) in February.

PlasticSole (feat. Rise Bailey Rise) - Rockin' in the Free World

This is the first of a couple of things we have planned as a result of our gig at The Craufurd Arms (Live Music Venue) in February.

It was an absolute honour to share, not only, the stage with Richard Patmore from Rise Bailey Rise, but also the rehearsal spaces in the weeks leading up to the gig, thank you so much. We'd love to repeat the process again in the near future!
We are extremely grateful to Jason Hall for putting on the show, being our sound engineer, and also recording the gig on the Craufurd's amazing sound and video system. He gave us a backstage tour and it's an impressive set-up.
Finally a massive thank you to Scott Kelsey for the mixing and editing of the raw audio and video files. It takes a lot of time and effort to make live recordings sound this good, and we are blown away by your dedication to making us sound as good as we can, thank you so much.
We're looking forward to what the future has in store for us, please stay tuned....

Muchas gracias por tocar nuestras canciones, English Teacher y Northern Girl, en tu programa La Próxima Estación

Esta fue la presentación que abría la edición 112 de La Próxima Estación.

Sometimes, nostalga is so hard, that it tricks us and it seems trying to convert the past into present. One flavour, one smell, one image... one sound, can take from your entrails that pain that takes you back to reality and you realise that that thing already belongs to world that is no longer yours. It is true, so you cannot stop time but you can indeed retain it. Conjure in such a way that, a song can make revive that instance in which something changed. And that's how you keep the essence of life, in a way that a song could make revive that instant in which something changed. And that is how you keep the essence of your life, in containers that can only be opened with specific stimulus and the music is one of these keys that lets you travelling in time.

PlasticSole did not go much further than their native city: Milton Keynes, in United Kingdom when, at the of last millennium, in 1999, they converted their dreams in a two sides demo. Or, which is the same, two songs contained in a EP that was charged of opening the theme that today opens "La Proxima Estacion" podcast, "English Teacher". I want to imagine that luck, when you look for it, converts into a luxury that avoids every try to get it and this was not the moment that history had reserved for them to grant her favours. 7 years passed, and again PlasticSole gathered their songs around a compilation with all that material they had treasured at that time, "The Whyte (Cottage Industries) Album" that outlined the path they had decided to take. Two years later they made it clear that they were not a casual anomaly in music and, going against the trends of the moment, made visible an album containing 5 good songs, 3 live versions and a demo, this was called "Surplus". Already in 2014, two of the components presented a handful of songs under the name "Jamie & Sigh - Complete Enough" that seemed to close their history. It may be so, or at least it seemed so, but this 2022 has wanted to bring those unjustly forgotten songs back to life, and they have done so by presenting a series of Ep's that premiered last January with "Return to Astro Wars" and at the moment, it has 4 more sequels that will see the light in the coming months, or that have already seen the light, as is the case with the previously heard song and that allows us to open another of those extended play. This one will open in a few days and includes a couple of shorts such as Johnny Remembers and this one, Northern Girl. PlasticSole.

Return To Astro Wars

A song about childhood friendships, rivalry, and high scores; Return to Astro Wars will transport you back to the early 80s.
